Love that Cannot Be Fulfilled

I had plans to marry my first and only real girlfriend ever, Stepheny. We loved each other and doors opened for us everywhere. At the time my dream was to be Governor of Idaho so I could protect the beautiful national parks there and wildlife ecosystem. I knew together we could do anything...but it was very tragic...like Romeo and Juliet how it ended - forces drove us apart. I can't really talk about all the details for obvious reasons - maybe someday for a memoir. My dad often told me how sad the whole situation was. But, this song below by another Welsh man like me (Howard Jones) sums it up for me and reminds me of Stepheny. Phil Collins produced it and is on drums. This song seems to be a bunch of metaphors portraying a mutual attraction/love that can’t be fulfilled and/or is forbidden. It means different things to different people said Howard Jones. You can listen to my interview with him on www.clubevan.com :

No one is to blame = it’s just human nature and it is very sad. Life doesn't go the way we want it to. But perhaps it is God testing our resilience and perseverance. The McIntyre Motto is "Per Ardua" which means "Through Difficulty."
