Israel - Holocaust - Never forget

Image
I am torn with the war between Israel and Palestine. I support Israel because without the U.S. Israel would be annihilated by neighboring countries. Hamas also started this violence. I hope for peace and hope for the end of Hamas which in my opinion is a terrorist organization. I hope they return the kidnapped so this war will end. In my opinion, to be anti-Israel is anti-American, and anti-West. For so many of my Jewish friends, this is a nightmare because of all the deplorable anti-semitism. People like Elon Musk making a pro-Hitler tweet and Kanye West and his many anti-Semitic rants are vulgar - despicable. I deleted my Twitter (X) account. Elon Musk is a menace to society. Years ago I made a contribution to the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C. I spent 2 full days touring that museum before I moved to Germany. I encourage you to visit this museum and make a contribution in you have even $5 extra bucks. Above all, remember what Arnold Swarzenager said about his f...

Honoring the Memory of Grandpo McIntyre: A Heart Surgeon and War Hero Resting in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington Virginia. Today, we pay tribute to the remarkable life of Grandpo McIntyre, a true American hero. Serving as a heart surgeon and achieving the rank of Colonel in World War II, Grandpo embodied courage and sacrifice on the battlefield. During World War I, Grandpo's bravery knew no bounds. His duty involved running from the trenches on the French battlefields amidst German attacks to retrieve fallen American soldiers, his comrades, and his friends. With reverence, he did that required job - ensured their dog tags were collected and delivered to their grieving families—a solemn task that spoke volumes of his character and compassion. Despite his unwavering dedication, Grandpo was unfortunately denied the proper benefits and title he rightfully deserved. This injustice left him disillusioned with the military, a sentiment he carried throughout the rest of his life. ...

The Beatles Producer

Image
#MusicProducerBeatles #eddiekramer #cocacola   I took music production lessons from Eddie Kramer about 20 years ago in LA.  He produced the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimmi Hendrix as well as many other artists, and also is a photographer of those bands.  Hear my “Bam Bam Club” songs I produced at Clubevan.com.  He told me that he had to be the “straight guy” when they (the Beatles) would get out of hand - stoned- joking around too much instead of focusing on the recording session.  He also taught me that if you get a good take on a song....if there is a little noise in the background that is okay.  He said on several Beatles recordings there was a crash or something in the background because they were so sloppy but he kept rolling.  We (music producers) are so concerned about the slightest bit of noise that we throw away a perfect take.  No one even notices a bird chirping a mile away.  He has amazing photos he took of bands he ...

Mom, during remission from cancer, was Oblated by the Catholic Church - a very high honor for Benedictines especially since she was Baptist and not Catholic. Being Oblated by the Catholic Church shows gratitude for selflessness and that you have done many things in the community "The “service” means our act of adoring God and making an offering to Him." source: Catholic Diocese. My dad was later also Oblated and their ashes were spread at St. Gertrude Monastery's Cathedral in Cottonwood, Idaho. Reception after receiving her Oblation from the Catholic Church. Cottonwood, Idaho where Mom and Dad's ashes were spread. A monument there for Oblates.   This newspaper article on Mom came out on my birthday. It was a somber party but I thank my sister Beeb for organizing the party and the family for getting me a cake despite all the grief the family was going through. I studied Benedictine "Rules for Life" with my parents at St. Gertrude and signed this peace agr...

I am in recovery from everything

Image
These are a few profound things I've learned from just one meeting at Smart Recovery: "Do the next right thing"  "SEN - Sleep, Exercise, Nutrition"  "Anger is one letter away from Danger" and  "Don't do these three C's: Criticize, Complain, Condemn"  "Take care of the alligator closest to the boat"  "When you are content to be simply yourself and don't compare or compete - everyone will respect you"   "Silence is more powerful than proving a point"  "When someone does you wrong - pray: Bless Them, Change Me" (this one from Charlie/AA) I am always in recovery from something.  Smartrecovery.org  is the best place you can go to begin to heal from substance abuse issues, alcoholism, porn, gambling, love, sex, smoking...whatever addiction issues you may have - there is a road to recovery here.  I like this program's philosophy much more than AA.  I am an artist so I love the 'VACI"...

Love that Cannot Be Fulfilled

Image
I had plans to marry my first and only real girlfriend ever, Stepheny. We loved each other and doors opened for us everywhere. At the time my dream was to be Governor of Idaho so I could protect the beautiful national parks there and wildlife ecosystem. I knew together we could do anything...but it was very tragic...like Romeo and Juliet how it ended - forces drove us apart. I can't really talk about all the details for obvious reasons - maybe someday for a memoir. My dad often told me how sad the whole situation was. But, this song below by another Welsh man like me (Howard Jones) sums it up for me and reminds me of Stepheny. Phil Collins produced it and is on drums. This song seems to be a bunch of metaphors portraying a mutual attraction/love that can’t be fulfilled and/or is forbidden. It means different things to different people said Howard Jones. You can listen to my interview with him on www.clubevan.com : ClubEvan.com: in the "Radio" section: The Howa...
